As an HIM Chart Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our patient records. Your main responsibility will be to perform timely analysis on discharged inpatient records, same-day surgeries, emergency room cases, and more. Guided by standards from the Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, your analytical skills will ensure that all records are thorough and accurate. You'll validate the assignment of deficiencies and coordinate with providers to address any inaccuracies, all while fostering collaborative communication. Your efforts will help ensure our healthcare delivery remains top-notch, allowing us to deliver compassionate care to our communities. At UMMS, you won’t just be working; you’ll be contributing to a mission that seeks to merge quality healthcare with academic excellence. To do this, you’ll need a high school diploma or GED, although an associate’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) is preferred.
