Retail GIS Analyst

About This Role

Designs, develops, implements, maintains and manages GIS applications using the suite of ESRI products. Utilizes database software to update, edit, and extract tabular data for integration into GIS and perform data queries and spatial analysis as required. May also support other office activities related to retail distribution such as preparing executive level presentations and project management support.

  • Primary owner of the data systems and tools used to support retail distribution planning and market optimization.
  • Builds and maintains database(s) that integrate data from internal and external sources.
  • Applies customer insights, demographics, channel and store level performance, and competitor intelligence to a GIS/spatial environment for the assessment of current and new distribution.
  • Develops store performance and cannibalization models used to formulate recommendations for retail site forecasting and market optimization
  • Performs geospatial analysis and provides the baseline GIS maps used to evaluate and source retail locations.
  • Generates ongoing performance reports and dashboards; drives increased efficiencies of reporting and dissemination of data to key stakeholders.
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and analytical insights to various business units as necessary. Develops presentations and reporting used for executive level decision making.
  • Ensures accuracy of store database and store locations on the web.
  • Builds strong internal partnerships with providers and users of distribution related data.

Salary Range $70000 - $102,000 / yearly #LI-RM1

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience with Esri software products, MS Access, SQL, for the retail industry
  • Ability to search for pertinent facts and data, analyze and evaluate information to form accurate conclusions
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required
