Corporate Surplus Lines Analyst

General Description:Responsibilities:• Facilitate agent/agency compliance with state surplus lines rules• Provide call center assistance to national surplus lines agents and filers• Submit required documents to states to facilitate timely filings• Coordinate payment of tax and related fees• Assist in auditing A/P to ensure prompt payment of collected taxes and fees• Coordinate payment of tax and related fees• Assist in the development and maintenance of surplus lines processes and procedures• Assist in reading and interpreting state surplus lines related administrative codeKnowledge, Skills And Abilities• Two years work experience in the insurance industry -- preferably with surplus lines• P&C Insurance license, willing to obtain Surplus Lines Broker license within one year• Prefer experience with Sagitta (Vertafore)• Strong desire to learn and foster a community of compliance• Knowledge of insurance industry and risk management• Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data• Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations policies and procedures• Ability to prepare reports• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude• Very strong detail skills• Proficiency with all MS Office applicationsPhysical DemandsWork is performed in a climate controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including; telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner and mail machine.
