The Revenue and Reimbursement Manager will be responsible for supporting reporting and analysis needs, developing and implementing financial policy/controls, reviewing and monitoring of rate and charge structures, and establishing and maintaining rules, regulations, policies and procedures for... government and third-party payers. Additionally, the Revenue and Reimbursement Manager will work closely with Director of Revenue and Reimbursement to compile and present monthly reports to senior leadership and explain variances and identify trends, collaborate with senior leadership, Finance team, and Revenue Cycle team to monitor, audit and develop recommendations and strategic plans to identify opportunities to improve and maximize revenue and reimbursement efficiencies, and facilitate project leadership, process improvement, and technology enhancements.
Essential Job Statements
• Plan, organize, and evaluate all financial revenue recognition and reimbursement program components for a hospital in a manner consistent with the management objectives of the Clinical Enterprise and utilizing knowledge of the principles and practices of accounting as it applies to hospital fiscal management.
• Support the development and implementation of both manual and automated statistical and cost reporting systems in a manner consistent with mandated governmental and third-party reimbursement agencies’ requirements.
• Identify, gather, and compile pertinent information used to prepare detailed financial, statistical, and narrative reports utilizing Excel, Tableau, Cognos, SQL, Python, Workday and Epic software.
• Financial and statistical reporting to federal, state, and third-party reimbursement agencies utilizing policies, rules, regulations, procedures, methods, and practices by those agencies as they relate to the reimbursement of costs and expenditures.
• Perform analytical reviews of rates, adjustments, and complex directives to ascertain their implications for hospital/practice fiscal management and recommend appropriate action and ability to support all recommendations effectively both orally and in writing.
• Plan, coordinate, evaluate and work to meet deadlines; sound professional judgment; sound communication and interpersonal skills; initiative; creativity; physical condition commensurate with the requirements of the position.
• Supervises and manages all personnel issues of staff including, but not limited to approving time off requests, performing employee performance evaluations, managing workloads, approving time records, and overseeing other personnel issues as they arise.
• Work with diagnostic related groups (DRG's) and/or reimbursement and AR valuation/revenue recognition methodologies and utilize working knowledge of hospital and practice accounting and billing procedures.
• Evenings and/or weekend work may be required to meet seasonal and/or periodic reporting demands.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited program
