As the HR Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting the People and Culture team at VetPartners, ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions across the organisation. As the first point of contact for HR-related queries, the HR Advisor provides support and guidance to managers and employees, assists in managing employee relations, and contributes to key HR projects. This role also involves overseeing administrative processes and helping to drive the implementation of HR initiatives that enhance employee experience, compliance, and organisational culture. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Assist with employee relations, including grievances, performance improvement plans, and compliance.
  • Manage key HR processes such as onboarding, contract changes, and offboarding, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support initiatives in learning and development, engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Safety, and other departments to ensure seamless HR operations.
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • A solid understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
