HR Coordinator

We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our progressive and dynamic People team. VetPartners is in an exciting phase working on initiatives that engage and reward our team members whilst supporting their wellbeing and career development. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about growing their career and can be an active contributor to our team, which is spread across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end employment administration from contracts and onboarding to pay reviews, amendments, offboarding processes, etc.,
  • Providing basic guidance to managers on contract and award interpretation, and legal/regulatory requirements,
  • Providing basic advice to managers on employment-related queries, or triage and escalation to business partners as appropriate,
  • HRIS administration and configuration,
  • Administration of employee benefits and HR programs,
  • Supporting our broader HR department with projects and initiatives, including working closely with HR Business Partners on ER and culture initiatives,
  • Reporting and data collection/presentation,
  • Additional project work and generalist duties,
  • A strong relationship with the payroll team and recruiters, supporting with employee details, amendments, and remuneration advice, and parental leave administration, and
  • Identifying ongoing process improvement opportunities to keep us nimble, responsive, effective and efficient.

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

  • Formal training in Human Resources Management and/or experience in a similar role (graduate applications welcome)
  • Good basic knowledge of Australian employment legislation
  • An empathetic approach to your role and genuine desire to help people enjoy and get the most out of their work,
  • The ability to build strong and effective relationships with remote colleagues,
  • A proactive and goal-oriented approach, and
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong ability with systems and software, including Excel.
