Job Description

Visa Corporate IT (CIT) group has embarked on a major transformation journey. We are transforming ourselves into a true engineering organization where we put customer experience and end user support first. As part of this strategy, we are consolidating several of our engineering functions into a single area focused on providing world class engineering to our end user systems. This change is geared towards rethinking how we provide engineering for the services we're responsible for.

Reporting to the Director - Client Engineering, this role is responsible for the infrastructure, applications, systems, and services throughout the Visa Windows environment. The successful candidate will be required to assist in defining and setting standards, applying solutions-based engineering, assist in the design and architecture of the Windows endpoint environment, as well as high level operations support within the department for escalations and communication.

 

Essential Functions

  • Design, implement, and oversee Windows client imaging and provisioning workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance enterprise client endpoints and management systems, including Bigfix, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune.
  • Develop and manage automation and integration workflows between IT systems to support the enterprise client management strategy.
  • Create, implement, and manage configurations and policies for client endpoint management.
  • Test, evaluate, and validate new hardware to meet evolving business needs.
  • Manage IT systems that support client endpoint user experience and workflows.
  • Develop, assess and recommend innovative solutions through POC’s for business-driven projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects.
  • Serve as a technical evangelist for the Windows platform, promoting and enhancing the solution within the business.
  • Create and maintain documentation for supported applications, including certified products, installation, and maintenance scripts.
  • Evaluate and implement new releases, fixes, and security updates for supported applications across all workstation platforms.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to other members of the Client Engineering team.
  • Act as the final technical escalation point for support teams in the APAC region.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline is required.

Preferred Qualifications
• 7-10 years of work experience in engineering function supporting Windows endpoint environment.
• Technical hands-on skills with workstation deployment and configuration technology stacks like Bigfix, SCCM, Intune. Implementing in a highly secure environment is a plus
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
• Experience with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
• Team player and passionate for contributing to a culture of innovation and flawless execution.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical initiatives and identify opportunities for improving end user technology.• Experience working with a shift-based, geographically distributed team is preferred
• Hands on experience developing and automating solutions on Windows platforms
• Experience using vulnerability assessment tools like Qualys, Fortify, Appscan or other assessment tools preferred
• Expertise in PowerShell (or) other scripting languages
