VP, Sales - Burnalong (remote opportunity)

Our VP of Sales for Burnalong will be responsible for continuing to build, coach, and support a world-class go-to-market team while refining our market positioning, pitch, and sales process with a specific mission to continue to build our corporate enterprise sales motion.

You’ll inherit a successful existing AE (10) and SDR (13) inside sales organization coming off of strong growth last year and emerging from a recent acquisition, by Tivity Health, with a more complete solution and a clear mandate to invest in growth. As you’d expect, the company growth targets are big, the pace of innovation is high, and the challenges of scaling people and processes are ever changing.

Who you are:

You’re a hands-on front-line sales leader who can balance the strategic with the tactical. You actively support the sales team on late-stage calls, lead call and process coaching, and believe in building a repeatable sales process. You’re also data-fluent and comfortable architecting an efficient sales planning and forecasting process with the systems and tools needed to scale the team.

You balance that rigor with a scrappy mentality. You move fast, are used to selling a great product within an emerging brand, and preferably know the wellness space or HR buyer.

As a leader you look to build a team-first, supportive sales culture while also ensuring accountability and a high-performance culture with a sharp focus on transparency, grit, and hustle. In short, you believe your success only comes from the continued growth of the people on the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales team in generating a strong pipeline of qualified leads, running the sales process, and closing deals in service of exceeding sales targets
  • Oversee sales pipeline management, deal progression, negotiations, and the team’s other KPIs to grow pipeline, improve close rates, and increase deal sizes
  • Build a dynamic high-performance sales organization through careful coaching and recruiting
  • Work with marketing and the lead gen organization to coordinate go-to-market campaigns, identify collateral needs, and develop other pipeline levers
  • Champion the customer journey and work cross-functionally to find opportunities to facilitate growth through referrals, channel partners, and new products and services
  • Work with executive leadership, and others, to develop an enterprise sales strategy, Go-To-Market plan, and pricing/product strategy

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to lead a high-performance SaaS sales team (7+ years managing AEs). Initially this role manages AEs directly, with the expectation that you will build out additional front-line management support over time
  • Lead from the front - Hands-on leader who actively enjoys helping AEs close deals on calls
  • A mentor who loves to coach and recruit great people
  • Have built predictable pipeline and revenue systems in scaling SaaS businesses with at least tens of millions of recurring revenue
  • Selling into HR/Benefits or health/wellness experience a strong plus
  • Commitment to building healthy and diverse teams
  • Strong cross-functional communicator who can build consensus and drive projects
