Payroll & Benefits Generalist aka People Ops Lifeline!

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of employees while rocking payroll, benefits, leave and compliance like a pro? We’re adding to our team and looking for an Payroll & Benefits Generalist who’s as passionate about information and process integrity as they are about employee happiness. This role is a little bit of HR gen, and a whole lot of payroll & benefits aficionado! Our multi-state, multi-location employer is growing in a big way and we need talent like yours as we scale!

What You’ll be doing:

Employee Advocate: You don’t forget a name or a face! You’ll be a go-to person for all things HR. Support and educate employees while building great relationships. You ensure employees feel valued and supported every step of the way.

Payroll Rockstar: Own and execute the bi-weekly payroll process and benefits administration. Navigate taxes, deductions, garnishments and compliance like a boss.

Benefits Buff: You will orchestrate the relationship with our benefits broker and carriers and manage the enrollments, keeping the process delivery seamless.

Leave of Absence Guru: You are the first point of contact for employees on leave, helping them navigate the process and keeping the company compliant in the background.

Recordkeeping and HRIS Champion: All employee info goes through you! One ring to rule them all. Attendance tracking, spreadsheets and documentation keep us together! Manage and maintain our HRIS database (Paycom!), making sure it’s accurate, secure, and a well-oiled machine.

Compliance Crusader: Stay on top of federal, state, and local laws so we’re always in the clear.

Process Improver: Look for opportunities to make our workflows smoother, faster, and more fun for everyone. Flex your creative problem-solving muscles while improving processes and creating impact.

This position is on-site at our headquarters in Walker's Point in Milwaukee, WI.

What You Need In Your Background:

4+ years of experience in Payroll and HR.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits administration.

Proficiency with HRIS administration. (Paycom experience is a plus!)

Knowledge of federal, state, and local HR laws.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A collaborative spirit and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Solid proficiency with Google Suite and ability to work with Mac product
