Manager, Data Science - Growth Product

What you'll do:
  • Lead a small but high-impact team of data scientists, collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Sales to understand our clients and develop data-driven systems that enhance their experience
  • Design and execute experiments to uncover client preferences and inform product strategy
  • Build and deploy machine learning models to predict client behaviour and integrate them into the product experience to drive engagement
  • Generate actionable insights using statistical techniques and analytical best practices to identify product opportunities
  • Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and work with stakeholders to secure buy-in for data-driven solutions
  • Mentor, coach, and guide data scientists, helping them grow and maximize their impact


What you bring:
  • Proven experience in designing complex experiments to establish causal relationships in client behaviour
  • Strong expertise in building scalable data machine learning architectures
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics and extracting insights from web and app data
  • Ability to leverage data-driven solutions (e.g., embedded ML models, optimized incentive systems) to drive product growth
  • A player-coach mentality - comfortable leading a team while actively contributing as an individual contributor on key projects
  • Excellent SQL and Python skills
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate their stance in a collaborative manner to drive agreement among technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize for impact and manage expectations with stakeholders
