About the Role: 

We are looking for our first People Ops (HR) role who can manage full-cycle of HR operations, from talent acquisition and onboarding to performance management and offboarding. You will play a key role in enhancing employee experience and wellbeing while ensuring compliance, managing payroll, and maintaining smooth operational workflows. This role is critical to helping us scale and sustain a high-performing team. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Talent Acquisition & Hiring: Manage end-to-end hiring, including coordination with HR agencies and institutes, job postings (AshbyHQ, LinkedIn, Wellfound, Indeed etc.), coordinating interviews, and finalizing compensation. 

  • Onboarding & Employee Integration: Facilitate smooth onboarding, asset management, training and compliance, employee wellbeing benefits, WFH setup etc. 

  • Payroll, Travel & Expense Management: Coordinate payroll, manage employee expenses, travel bookings, manage vendors, offsite coordination, and visa processes. 

  • Performance Management & Employee Engagement: Conduct quarterly performance reviews, 1-1 sessions with leadership, appraisals, and employee recognition programs.  

  • Communications & HR Documentation: Coordinate company-wide communications (monthly updates, promotions, anniversaries), and maintain HR documentation 

  • Streamline HR and People applications: Streamline hiring, onboarding, payroll across US and India across systems 

 

Who You Are: 

 

  • 3+ experience in HR, People Operations, or a similar role, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment. 

  • Prior experience in Talent Acquistion, Employee Wellbeing, and HR operations 

  • Strong understanding of HR systems, HRIS tools, payroll and expense management software, and performance management processes 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively at all levels. 

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Familiarity with compliance regulations, benefits administration, and employee wellbeing initiatives. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 

  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, innovative, and collaborative work environment.
