About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Karate or Selenium to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Perform manual testing on frontend (UI) and backend (API, database) to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve defects efficiently.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Utilize TestRail for test case management, execution, and reporting.
- Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure automation scripts are integrated with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers on testing best practices and automation strategies.
- Flexible to work in collaboration with US (Pacific Time) and IST hours as needed.
About You
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams timezones.
- Strong hands-on experience in writing automation scripts using tools such as Karate or Selenium.
- 6+ years of experience in manual testing (frontend & backend).
- Good knowledge of test case management tools such as TestRail.
- Proficiency in API testing, RESTful services, and database testing (SQL queries, etc.).
- Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and QA best practices.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Java, JavaScript.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS.
- Knowledge of security testing best practices.
