Event Marketing Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented event marketer with a strong background in organization and operational skills. As a positive contributor to the event marketing team, you will be responsible for supporting events remotely and on-site, such as tradeshows, conferences & hosted events.

You will need to work seamlessly with the Head of Event Marketing, other marketing channel owners (creative, content, ops, etc.), and sales to create a plan and execute this plan as part of a team. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Day in the Life: 

  • Organize and execute events including: event planning and project management, on-site event logistics, + pre and post-event communications
  • Execute and manage logistics for global tradeshows & surrounding events (i.e. meetings, dinners, lunches & hosted experiences)
  • Facilitate travel needs for staff and guests when applicable: book hotels, flights, & complete badge registration, etc.
  • Coordinate shipping for booth properties, swag, collateral, & all other necessary event materials
  • Empower teams to achieve event purpose + ROI goals
  • Execute to the scope of the event, including time, location, and costs
  • Help determine look and feel, messaging, demos, giveaways, and attendee engagement
  • Supervise setup and teardown and manage the on-site teams for sales, marketing, and executives when applicable
  • Clean and deliver leads to the marketing platform
  • Conduct kick off meetings
  • Manage vendor relationships and production timelines
  • Solicit bids from venues and service providers
  • Inspect venues to ensure that they meet requirements
  • Monitor event activities to ensure management and event attendees are satisfied
  • Review event bills and approve payment
  • Submit creative briefs to the creative team and manage project timelines between art delivery, vendor production timelines, & delivery for events
  • Help with inventory management

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in events or a similar position
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (includes editing and proofreading)
  • Self motivated
  • Detail oriented
  • Creative
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Works well under pressure while remaining positive, flexible and open to feedback
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to act on your feet and make critical decisions
  • Experience with relevant software applications (G-Suite, Salesforce.com, Hubspot, etc)
  • Willingness to travel as needed (20-40%)
  • Understanding of go-to-market event planning and execution
  • Budgeting and inventory reporting
  • Vendor and venue research / booking
  • Works well with multiple teams in the organization to achieve lead, pipeline and revenue goals
