ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the church. The organization was founded in the aftermath of World War II to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of war-torn Europe. Today, organizational programming focuses on humanitarian and disaster response, community strengthening and resilience, and refugee & immigrant services and advocacy.



This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.



POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks a Reception and Placement (R&P) Case Aide. This role is a vital extension of the R&P Case Specialist through assisting World Relief clients in accessing medical appointments, required documents, and other required services by providing transportation and other face-to-face services..




This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until April 30, 2025 and contingent upon funding extension.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Transport R&P clients to and from medical appointments, social security visits, and other scheduled events as requested by the R&P case specialists;
  • Deliver documents and checks to clients;
  • Assist in airport pick-ups;
  • Provide support in pre-arrival tasks including but not limited to shopping for items on the Material Needs Support form, groceries, and completing Site Visit Housing Checklists;
  • Maintain appropriate communication with case managers and program supervisors regarding needs of tasks;
  • Complete online registrations including but not limited to school enrollments, AR-11’s, and Selective Service;
  • Provide any additional assistance to R&P Case Specialists as required for the completion of the Core Services as requested by the case specialists;
  • Assist in the completion of Cultural Orientation and Assessments as necessary; Be willing and able to use personal vehicle to complete tasks when company van is not available;
  • Respond to communication from R&P program supervisors and case managers in a professional and timely manner;
  • Report to R&P program supervisors and case managers for assigned tasks


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Skill and sensitivity working with people from various backgrounds and beliefs;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and resolve problems/issues promptly and effectively;
  • Ability to work well on a team in a synergistic work environment, a flexible and motivated team player;
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize in a fast paced and fluid environment;
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable access to an insured vehicle required. (Position is based in Dallas office but travel around the DFW Metroplex is required.)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bi-Lingual desired (e.g. Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Kirundi, Swahili, Spanish)


$20 - $20 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
