Test Engineer 3

We are seeking a Test Engineer for the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) TTO, which supports Dataflow, Transformation and Normalization to the customer’s Enterprise. The candidate should have experience with modern programming languages, able to communicate with software engineers and articulate deficiencies in the tools or systems. Candidate should be able to document test procedures and other artifacts for accuracy and repeatability.


Analyzes system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.


**This position requires PRIVAC. Candidate must have a current (within 7 years) poly and/or currently possess the minimum level of PRIVAC required for this role (NSYS). When submitting candidates, please confirm their poly/PRIVAC status.


Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).


Capabilities
  • Experience building out various test environments for a software development team
  • Experience implementing unit testing, integration testing, stress testing, smoke testing, use case testing, and operational scenario based testing
  • Experience with testing systems at the component, integration, system and end-to-end levels
  • Experience with Functional/non-functional tests, requirements based/structure based testing, black/white testing
  • Experience with test automation, test scripts, regression/performance tests
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Katalon
  • Experience with Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
  • Has developed thorough test cases and deficiency reports
  • Ability to implement test strategies, plans, procedures/process (monitoring/control/analysis/design/implementation/execution/completion/traceability) and reports
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines


Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
  • Eight (8) years experience as a TE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.


Desired Technical Skills
  • Experience with Agile processes and Scrum ceremonies is a plus
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus

$62.53 - $112.01 an hour
Pay Range: $62.53 - $112.01 per hour*
Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
