Responsibilities: You will be leading the development of strategic communications for the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy. You will also be reviewing, editing, and assisting in providing copy feedback, ensuring that our creative aligns with Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy digital and brand style guidelines. This role would involve collaborating with designers and creative leads to create impactful communications products across the agency. Write clear and accurate healthcare communications that will be delivered for a consumer audience via web, social, and other channels about complex topics that meets content requirements while maintaining a high degree of autonomy. Translate complex healthcare topics into clear and understandable language for specific audiences. Follow and assist in project management from concept through delivery to support project management best practices and content continuity. Effectively and consistently communicate and coordinate with partner teams to ensure copy aligns with expectations. Collaborate with members of the team to develop creative concepts for projects. Contribute to the creation and evolution of Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy copywriting resources and tools. Edit and proofread content maintaining a high level of editorial accuracy. What you bring to the Game: 8 years of relevant healthcare communications experience in an agency or corporate environment with formal copy training and a strong portfolio showing previous experience with digital communications. An expert-level understanding of healthcare communications for consumers and professional audiences, digital copywriting principles, current trends, and industry best practices. Strong attention to detail and timelines and various editorial style guidelines from AP to AMA. Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments and deadlines. High-level collaboration and communication skills; especially around receiving, giving, and implementing feedback. A creative point of view with a passion for pursuing innovative ideas. MUST have creative portfolio on resume.
