Job Description

As Z Energy evolves its digital transformation, and becomes increasingly reliant on digital applications, data engineering products and modern enterprise solutions to drive operations, customer interactions, and innovation, we are pleased to welcome a Kaiārahi Kaipūhanga DevOps / Lead DevOps Engineer to our scaling Digital team. 

Joining a diverse, cross functional Engineering team, you will provide technical leadership within large initiatives, steering DevOps best practices, designing solutions and supporting our Agile teams to build, deploy, integrate, enhance and support software that delivers value for Z.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • To lead, coach, and develop a skilled team of DevOps Engineers ensuring our existing platforms and systems are reliable and remain operational
  • Contribute to defining and implementing frameworks, standards and patterns for DevOps to follow
  • Lead the deployment and monitoring of applications in your squads 
  • Maintain and expand our CI/CD pipeline through automation and scripting 
     

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z 
 

  • Experience working in cloud environments, preferred experience in Microsoft Azure 
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, developing reusable patterns  
  • Experience developing and debugging .NET applications C# code/NodeJS/Python 
  • Hands-on experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure
  • Working across multiple capabilities to deliver great experiences 
  • Experience coaching/mentoring engineers, in terms of both technical and professional growth

The base salary range for this role is $145,350 to $155,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
