Welder / Robot Operator

As a Welder / Robot Operator, your key responsibilities involve performing various welding and fabricating tasks to support robotic operations. You'll be programming Fanuc CRX weld robots, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and fabricating parts from engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Daily checks of machines and robots are crucial, alongside collaborative efforts with our robotic engineers to enhance production processes.

To apply for the Welder / Robot Operator role, you should have a minimum of GCSE grade A-C in Math, English, and Science. While proof of welder certification is essential, having a Class A Semi-Skilled Fabricator/Welder certificate strengthens your application. Additionally, familiarity with Fanuc CRX programming and at least four years of fabrication experience will give you an advantage.

In the role of Welder / Robot Operator, you'll primarily be utilizing TIG, MIG, and MAG welding processes. You will be tasked with welding to class 2 standards, specifically performing various joints such as fillet, lap, corner, and butt welds according to the requirements of BS 4872 Part 1, ensuring high-quality production standards.

While prior experience with robotics, specifically programming Fanuc CRX weld robots, is a plus, it is not strictly required for the Welder / Robot Operator position. We offer on-the-job training for programming and troubleshooting, making this an excellent opportunity if you have a background in welding and fabrication but are new to robotics.
