About us:
At Zen Locum, part of Zen Educate, we are transforming the way pharmacies connect with locums through our intuitive, mobile-first marketplace. Our mission-driven startup is tackling a real problem: helping pharmacies stay open and continue providing essential healthcare to their communities. With Zen Locum, pharmacies can find the right locum staff seamlessly, ensuring they never have to close due to staffing issues.
Backed by $37 million in Series B funding earlier this year, we are growing rapidly. If you’re passionate about driving growth and want to make a real impact in healthcare, join us and be part of something big!
Your chance to make a difference:
This is an opportunity to be part of a high-growth startup where you can contribute your ideas and be part of the decision-making. As an early team member, you’ll be on the ground floor of something exciting, working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where no two days are the same. We’re passionate about learning and development, and we want you to grow with us.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive growth by matching locums to the perfect role and helping them get into work.
- Build the supply pool by increasing the number of new verified locums on the platform.
- Own the locum journey helping welcome locums to Zen, get them through vetting & compliance and ensuring they have great outcomes.
- Collaborate across teams – from sales to product – to continuously improve our offering and deliver value to pharmacies.
- Get your hands dirty: In true startup fashion, you’ll dive into different areas when needed, showing flexibility and a problem-solving mindset.
What we are looking for:
- A top performer who thrives in a high-performing, goal-oriented environment.
- A proven track record of high performance and impact
- A person who is confident on the phone and able to build rapport
- A growth mindset: You’re committed to learning and developing new skills.
Confident in handling objections, with a bias toward action and results.
Previous experience working with pharmacies or opticians is a plus but not essential.
What's in it for you?
- Work you’ll be proud of: You’ll make a real impact in the healthcare space, helping pharmacies provide essential care to communities.
- 25 days of holiday + UK Bank Holidays
- Central London office perks: Fresh fruit, bike parking, showers, on-site gym, and café.
- Ownership in the company – be a part of our success with stock options.
- 1-1 coaching to fast-track your personal and professional development.
- Health and life insurance for your peace of mind.
- A fun-loving team: Regular socials and team events, with a collaborative, inclusive culture.
Diversity and Inclusion
At Zen, we strive to build a culture of equity and inclusion, where everyone is respected, valued and appreciated for their unique traits, experiences and perspectives. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and equitable environment where our team can thrive, regardless of age, ethnicity, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, disability, religion or beliefs. We value our differences and believe that practices of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion help us create a fairer, more compassionate environment for all.
We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and different experiences and perspectives — just like the staff who teach through Zen and the children at the schools we work with. We believe in hiring the best people from the widest pool and creating an inclusive culture where people’s voices are heard and all our team can look forward to coming to work.
We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of our community and promoting an equitable and inclusive environment for all. We seek out diverse opinions, beliefs, and experiences because they collectively make us stronger; we’ve had former teachers, pilots, fundraisers, engineers, lawyers, marketers, social media experts and more join our team.
