At Zopa, our Product Analytics Managers lead teams that translate data and analysis into ideas and strategies to drive our business forward and make our products better for customers. They’re a rare mix: people who are analytical and confident in using data but who can use that data to creatively help drive decision making.


We are hiring for two critical new roles to lead the Lending Product Analytics team across our portfolio of lending products and Current Account Product Analytics team for Zopa's newest product!

Lending Product Analytics Manager

Reporting into the Director of Central Analytics, this role will lead a team of analysts who will be embedded into Product Tribes across up to four different lending products. Our award-wining Lending products are growing rapidly, with over £2bn in lending balances today. As well as leading the team, this person will also directly support the Credit Cards tribe as an individual contributor to their growth. This is a brand new role and team within Zopa and a strong analytics leader will be crucial to the team's success and play a key role in shaping the future of Product Analytics at Zopa.


Current Account Product Analytics Manager

We want to transform the Current Accounts space as we have already done with loans, savings, credit cards and car finance, tying together our Zopa ecosystem, with big ambitions targeting over 1m+ active customers in 3 years' time. This role will be crucial to helping us get there so there's big opportunity for some serious career defining impact. Reporting into the Director of Central Analytics, this role will lead a small team of analysts who will be embedded in the Current Account Product Tribe. Whilst this individual will lead a small group of analysts, they will also be an individual contributor within the Current Account team supporting to provide truly actionable insights.


A day in the life...
  • Leading, coaching and supporting a team of product analysts to deliver high value insight that drives key product outcomes 
  • Collaborating with product managers to understand key business questions and translate them into analytical approaches 
  • Generating key insight from customer, market, industry and commercial data and using this insight to drive decision making and help prioritise product roadmaps 
  • Modelling the impact of potential and recently launched features and products on customer satisfaction and financial outcomes 
  • Defining MI, metrics and measurement frameworks that effectively assess our progress against our product strategies, customer outcomes and business goals 
  • Partnering with our data and analytics engineering teams to ensure our datamarts are well structured and will support our long term analytics requirements 
  • Problem solving together with software engineers, product designers and our operational teams to build the best possible customer experiences 


About you...
  • You have strong experience working in a Data Analytics role supporting Product teams 
  • You are excellent at translating from business questions to relevant and actionable analytical insight which directly addresses these questions 
  • You do not get lost in the weeds, but remain laser-focussed on the ‘so what’, delivering insights that will have a meaningful impact
  • You can communicate your insights succinctly and clearly, and influence upwards, downwards, and sideways.   
  • You are proficient in SQL with experience querying complex data sets –bonus points if you have Python 
  • You are confident with BI tools (eg. such as Tableau) and Product Analytics tools (such as Amplitude) 
  • You understand statistical principles and techniques and apply them appropriately, making pragmatic trade-offs between rigour and pace 
  • You have an aptitude for people management, with experience coaching more junior analysts. Previous line management is an advantage but not essential 
  • You are comfortable with workload prioritisation and make trade-offs that aim to deliver the greatest overall insight when faced with competing tasks and timescales 
  • You think long-term about what data we will need to collect and how it will need to be structured to allow us to answer future key questions on the horizon 
  • Relevant industry experience and/or prior experience working on a newly launched product would be an advantage but by no means essential
