About the role

We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to help our products evolve and scale to meet growing customer needs. You will play a pivotal role in crafting designs that meet the highest standards of usability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

This role focuses across our Zumo Enterprise (B2B), Zumo Oxygen, and Zumo App products. You will play an integral role in the product lifecycle of all Zumo services, ensuring cohesive and impactful design throughout our entire ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Zumo team, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering exceptional products that meet customer and business needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Ownership: You lead the design process from discovery to delivery. Through presenting designs, gathering feedback, and iterating, you refine design solutions based on team and user insights. You can clearly articulate design decisions with a deep understanding of their technical implications. As a team member of the product team, you take full ownership of the design process, driving innovative solutions that elevate overall product success.
  • Collaboration & Communication: You excel at fostering collaboration and effective communication across teams. You champion transparency and clarity, driving alignment across the organization and ensuring accountability for delivering impactful product iterations. You thrive to work closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to ensure that designs meet user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Research, Prototype, Design & Test: You leverage data, research, and testing methodologies to inform and validate design decisions throughout the product development lifecycle. By identifying gaps, you deliver thoughtful, innovative solutions that enhance customer engagement, resolve friction points, and simplify complex jobs. You produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs, ensuring a consistent and excellent experience throughout users' journeys. You maintain high standards for design quality, ensuring a coherent and effective design language across our products.
  • Passion & Drive: You are passionate about products and design in general. You love testing out new products purely out of curiosity. You stay updated on industry trends, emerging design tools and technologies, and best practices through podcasts, blogs, books, and meetups. You enjoy staying at the forefront of digital design innovation. (An interest in digital assets is a bonus!)

Who we are looking for?

  • You are a passionate product designer with 5+ years of professional product design experience at a studio, agency, or tech company — preferably a startup.
  • You have excellent written and communication skills, including experience working remotely.
  • You have expertise in research, prototyping, design systems, UX, UI, visual and motion design.
  • You have a strong portfolio showcasing fundamentals in UI design, UX design, design systems, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and visual design.
  • You are proficient in design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD, and Framer.
  • You are a great problem solver and good communicator with a strong attention to detail who takes pride in their work.
  • You are comfortable with the unknown and you love to experiment and learn.
  • You are a team player who believes the most incredible things are achieved as a team.
  • You have a genuine desire to build an outstanding products for our customers.
  • You have a sense of empathy for users, customers, teammates and colleagues.
  • Nice to have: You have experience designing products in the fintech or financial services sector, with a basic understanding of compliance and regulatory constraints.
