I'm passionate about helping others discover their passions and ready to jump in and solve any problem.
Completely redesigning PLEN's website during my first six months in a new role as their program coordinator.
Passionate about women’s leadership and education, I was most recently the Programs and Communications Manager at the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN), which is the only national nonprofit with the sole focus of training college women for careers in public policy leadership. As the Program Coordinator and then Programs and Communications Manager, I planned the logistics of each seminar, from recruiting students, to writing program curriculum, coordinating with speakers and volunteers, securing space, and managing all day-of logistics. I was also managed PLEN’s social media streams, website, email marketing, and online blog. During my time at PLEN, I built a new WordPress-hosted website, planned 19 3-5 day long seminars and over 25 events, and launched the PLEN Power Mentor List, which is an online database of PLEN mentors available to PLEN alumnae. I’m originally from Lake George, New York, and graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2016 with a B.A. in Government and African Studies and a minor in French. In January 2014, I attended the PLEN Women in Public Policy Seminar and was a PLEN Student Ambassador at St. Lawrence. Â Before joining the PLEN team, I worked in a District Attorney's office, on Capitol Hill, and at NGOs in Washington, D.C. and Dakar, Senegal working on sustainable development and women's empowerment. I also have 10+ years’ experience working in the retail and food service industry.
