Technical Project Manager

Overview

Apogee is actively seeking a Project Manager II supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I).

 

The SE&I Division serves as the principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the NC3 Enterprise within the Department of Defense. As the lead NC3 Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) arm of the NC3 Enterprise Center, the division applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices and translates mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions. SE&I also has the responsibility to apply established standards, and, when necessary, develop new standards, to ensure seamless interoperability across the NC3 enterprise. The SE&I is comprised of 3 branches:

  • Enterprise Sustainment & Evolution
  • Enterprise Performance & Capabilities
  • Enterprise Mission Management

This is a full-time opportunity on Fort Meade.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, lead, and coach Apogee personnel assigned to the team, including managing technical efforts and assisting in directing task order performance.
  • Manage enterprise architecture activities to guide the execution of the NC3 Architecture Governance Plan.
  • Assist the enterprise architecture team in producing a system of system architectures for the NC3 Enterprise.
  • Ensure technical/financial solutions and schedules in the specific delivery orders are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned projects.
  • Ensure quality enterprise architecture products are delivered on time and in accordance with Apogee quality assurance methodologies.
  • Collaborate with customer points of contact and Apogee leadership to proactively identify and mitigate risks and/or issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate team inputs for regular task order status reporting and special deliverables to advance high-priority Government initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Ability to maintain TS with SCI eligibility is required

A minimum of a TS clearance at time of application with SCI eligibility or willingness to be nominated for SCI.Certifications: PMP certification in lieu of DegreeEducation: BS or BA degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, (or educational equivalent)Years of Experience: 5 years military + 2 years IT Project ManagementAdditional Experience:

  • 5 years military experience managing DoD Comm Systems and/or a Program of Record
  • 5 years of program management experience 
  • 2 years of IT experience. Experience should include the following:
    • Management of specific task order(s) and ensuring that the technical/financial solutions and schedules in the specific delivery orders are implemented in a timely manner
    • Ability to organize, direct and coordinate the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects
    • Demonstrates competent writing and oral communication skills
    • Ensures quality products and services are delivered

  • ITIL Foundation Level Certification
