Overview

Commercial Accounts Department Manager

 

Coordinates and manages all processes (internal & external) with regards to MDI Commercial Accounts including AP/AR, order collection, customs compliance, clerical staff, and vendor contracts

Responsibilities

Accountabilities:

 

  • Supervises all task performed by Administrative Staff for selling to international customers, including but not limited to, order collection, inventory procurement, scheduling/loading, containerization, and accounts receivables.
  • Responsible that MDI is complying with all US & Foreign Customs documents, inspections and certificates that are required or requested US Customs Border and Protection or any government agency that operates in a foreign country.
  • Manages relationships with NC Dept. of Agriculture, USDA, and local Chamber of Commerce to obtain compliance documents for international shipments.
  • Create and manage a library of Internationally recognized Schedule B and Harmonized Codes for use in completing US AES Filings and for International Tariff Rates.
  • Maintain all customer files as required by MDI and US Customs
  • Create and maintain an updated International best practice guide for exporting at MDI
  • Supervises commercial account reps and other administrative staff
  • Manages all accounting functions with the department including customer remittance, payments, collections, and postings.
  • Manage communication link between MDI Marketing, vendor, and commercial account clients
  • Provides leadership and support for all department functions including MDI and Consolidation Services
