Niche is all about finding where you belong, and that mission inspires how we operate every day. We want Niche to be a place where people truly enjoy working and can thrive professionally.

About The Role

As Director of Product Marketing at Niche, reporting to the VP of B2B Marketing, you will lead a small and high-impact team responsible for the core positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy of our products. Your work will drive meaningful engagement with our clients—higher education institutions and K-12 schools—helping them better serve students and families. You'll become a trusted partner across product, marketing, sales, and other departments to bring products to market in uniquely Niche ways and ensure strong product-market fit. Your focus will primarily be on enrollment officers, CFOs, provosts, college presidents, and heads of school, while also harnessing our user-facing products to drive differentiation. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the product marketing function at Niche, defining its role and impact at scale during a critical time of growth in the education sector.

What You Will Do

  • Develop differentiated and unified positioning, messaging, reasons to believe, and go-to-market plans for our product solutions, with a prioritized focus on our educator clients and their stakeholders
  • Lead a team of product marketers through product launches, ranging from complex new offerings to incremental updates
  • Gain a deep understanding of our clients (higher education institutions, K-12 schools) and the key user profiles within them (enrollment officers, CFOs, provosts, college presidents, and heads of school), as well as the product-market fit, differentiators versus competitors, and the biggest opportunities for growth
  • Establish Niche as a thought leader in the education sector by developing and promoting a strong point of view and voice in the market
  • Create programs and content that help our clients maximize the value of Niche products, then collaborate with B2B marketing to transform those insights into case studies, testimonials, and sales pitches
  • Oversee sales enablement by developing key sales and marketing assets such as pitch decks, case studies, one-pagers, and training materials
  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with cross-functional leaders across Product, Marketing and Sales to ensure alignment and impact
  • Foster a high-performing, high-energy, and collaborative product marketing team, defining the right structure and size for Niche while creating a supportive and fun work environment

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a strong track record in product marketing, go-to-market strategy, and brand management
  • Experience working in industries with complex business models, major competition, or regulatory challenges—ideally within education technology, SaaS, or a related field
  • Proven ability to drive business results through strategic product marketing in growth-stage companies targeting business and consumer audiences
  • Expertise in articulating the essence of complex products and the value they provide, with strong skills in messaging hierarchy and content strategy
  • Deep understanding of the education market, including the needs of higher education and K-12 institutions, key decision-makers, and competitive landscape
  • Knowledge of best-in-class product marketing frameworks and the ability to adapt them for Niche's specific needs to drive differentiation and growth
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to create messaging, pitch decks, and marketing assets alongside your team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to executive leadership
  • Leadership presence and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and motivating cross-functional teams, particularly in product, marketing, sales, and client success
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strategic vision and an ability to balance analytical rigor with intuitive decision-making
