About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a fullstack engineering team working directly with customers to build a high impact product line. This role is a unique blend of hands-on development and people management, providing an opportunity to directly impact both our product and the growth of your team. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and a passion for leadership, guiding a talented group of engineers while also contributing to system design and coding.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing fullstack engineering team, fostering an inclusive and innovative culture while overseeing hiring and team growth.

  • Drive hands-on technical contributions, including system design, coding, and implementing engineering best practices to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

  • Grow a top tier team by directly contributing to and owning hiring.

  • Work cross-functionally – with our sales team and directly with customers – to shape our product vision.

  • Managing relationships with customers to roll out features, find early adopters and lead them to success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • The willingness and interest to work onsite 4 days a week to foster a strong in office culture.

  • ~2 years of people management experience, as well as 5+ years of strong hands-on development experience, ideally with fullstack technologies (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python).

  • A background in founding or building a startup is highly desirable (i.e., early-stage tech or founding engineer)

  • A passion for building products end-to-end, with the excitement to take ownership of major product initiatives.

  • Customer minded leaders who are able to coach engineers to engage with customers for feedback.

Compensation at Nooks for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, hybrid work, and unlimited paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $180,000-$240,000 annually.
