Fitness General Manager | San Diego, CA

We’re on the hunt for a General Manager who can handle 7,500 square feet of martial arts awesomeness, grow and develop our community to 700 members, and keep the operation running smoother than a black belt on the mats. If you’re a leader, a hustler, and someone who thrives on making things happen, this role is for you.

This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of our gym, prepare us for expansion (yes, we want to open more locations), and create a franchise-style operation that sets the standard for excellence while running smarter, not harder.

OWN THE OPERATIONS:
  •  Keep our 7,500 square-foot facility in tip-top shape. From cleanliness to equipment maintenance, you’ll make sure everything is running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Create systems and processes now that will make future expansions smooth and efficient.
  • Ensure all classes, intro sessions, and schedules run on time with no hiccups.

BUILD THE FAM:
  • Welcome every guest, member, and prospect like they’re stepping into their second home.
  • Handle member inquiries and feedback with professionalism but keep it real when it counts.
  • Hit the 700-member target by driving sales and converting prospects into die-hard fans of what we do.

DRIVE THE CASH FLOW:
  • Sales, sales, sales—memberships, gear, events—you’re here to generate revenue AND profit.
  • Stay on top of invoices, payments, and financial tracking. After all, revenue is cool, but profit is where it’s at.
  • Collaborate on marketing strategies that get people talking about us (and signing up). Social media, local outreach, promotions—you know the drill.

LEAD THE TEAM:
  • Be the leader who motivates and inspires. From instructors to front desk staff, you’ll ensure the whole team is aligned, performing, and pumped to be a part of a growing facility.
  • Handle payroll, commissions, and contracts with precision.
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment.

PLAN BIG, ACT SMART:
  • Think long-term. We’re not just about today—we’re thinking 5, 10, 15 years down the road.
  • Work with ownership to prepare for future franchise locations.
  • Make decisions confidently and independently—no micromanaging here.

What We’re Looking For:
  • You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait around for instructions. You make things happen.
  • You’re sales- and profit-driven but also know how to create an unforgettable member experience.
  • You’re forward-thinking and ready to help us expand into new locations while building a franchise-level operation.
  • You’re a leader who can motivate your team, solve problems, and keep everything moving forward.
  • You’re financially motivated and understand that the more the gym succeeds, the more you do too.

Skills & Experience You Bring to the Mats:
  • High school diploma required; bonus points for a degree in Business, Marketing, or Management.
  • At least 2 years of management, customer service, or sales experience (fitness industry is a major plus).
  • Proven ability to hit sales targets and manage financial operations.
  • Great communication skills—you can talk to anyone and close deals like a pro.
  • A natural knack for organization and time management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, inventory management, and marketing tools.
  • Social media savvy—you know how to create buzz and keep people engaged.
  • Passion for Jiu Jitsu, martial arts, or fitness? Even better.

$80,000 - $155,000 a year
Based on Performance and Results

We’re not just a gym—we’re a community. A family. A place where people come to train, grow, and push their limits every single day. And we’re just getting started.

As our General Manager, you’ll have the chance to shape the future. You’ll be at the forefront of our growth, helping us expand to new locations and building a legacy that stands the test of time.

Ready to step up? Let’s make something amazing happen—together.
