Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. Come help us unlock peace of mind so everyone can stay safer online.

The Experience, Design & Research department at 1Password exists to explore, research, design and champion the most delightful, clear and useful experience for all our customers, empowering them to be both secure and productive at work and at home.

We're looking for a Senior Product Design Manager to lead a talented team of designers within our Channels group, focusing on growing our MSP (Managed Service Provider) and distributor partnerships. This role may also involve exploring opportunities to enhance how customers manage their account information, aligning with our vision of becoming a multi-product company. This is a new and emerging team within our company, and this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the direction of our MSP program. With a strong focus on both user experience and revenue growth, this is a unique opportunity to help establish and define a key area of the business, offering significant influence in a rapidly evolving space.

As a Senior Manager, Product Design, you’ll be the design leader behind the end-to-end experience for our channel partners. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team—including Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing—to align on strategy and execution. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a knack for building strong, collaborative relationships across teams.

You’re a leader who doesn’t just identify problems—you jump in with creative, actionable solutions. You excel at managing complex projects, establishing the right level of process to get things done, and taking initiative to keep your team aligned and moving forward. With a strategic mindset, a growth-focused approach, and a passion for mentoring, you guide your team to success—always driving progress without waiting for direction.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

“We have a wide range of skills represented here, and that makes for a culture of personal growth through feedback and mentoring, support and critique. Our design has won awards and we have our designers to thank for that - excellence in design is one of the defining characteristics of 1Password. You should also prepare yourself for bad jokes.”

What we're looking for:
  • Design Expertise: 6-8+ years in product design, with experience in UX, systems design, UI, and information architecture at scale in a SaaS company (specifically, experience in B2B SaaS is nice-to-have)
  • Proven Product Leadership: 5+ years of managing teams and projects with measurable impact on organizational success.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Proven track record of coaching and developing design teams to reach their full potential.
  • Strategic & Hands-on Leadership: Balancing long-term strategy with short-term goals, inspiring your team to take action and drive results.
  • Effective Communication: Clear articulation of design value, leading the design process from start to finish.
  • Collaborative Partner: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams like product, engineering, and marketing.
  • Growth Mindset: Passion for continuous learning and leading scalable, high-impact design teams.
  • Project Management: Taking initiative and aligning your team the right process that will deliver solutions in fast-paced environments.
  • Talent Recruitment: Helping recruit and onboard top talent to build a strong, capable design team.

What you can expect:
  • Leading the product design team for the 1Password Channels and MSP experience.
  • Connecting together projects and goals with a focus on end-to-end experiences to leverage business growth from deployment to expansion.
  • Partner with Product Management, Research, Data, Engineering, and Marketing counterparts to understand the domain, drive product strategy and ensure clear goals and priorities for the team.
  • Build, mentor, and develop solid  product designers.
  • Plan design team performance, workload, and career development.
  • Collaborate with design leadership to connect the dots across teams and cultivate department-wide culture and standards
