Project Manager, Steering & Suspension

As the Module Project Manager in Vehicle Suspensions, you will be participating in stream project meetings for the complete project portfolio, where you will be representing the Vehicle Suspension Team during the development of product solutions until the introduction in our factories.

Your technical expertise combined with your strong inter-personal skills will allow you to communicate the vehicle suspension group status for all the projects, but also communicate the projects needs to the engineers in our group.

 You will have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art research and development environment dedicated to providing quality transportation products to the North American market.

You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring new designs fulfill business targets, requirements and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets, and communicate the status to the product streams.
- Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases
- Maintaining our brand reputation is crucial, and this position serves that mission by assuring compliance with all applicable vehicle regulations.
- Secure the development of modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.
- Integrating deliveries from others and secure quality readiness before release.
- Communicating active project deliveries during daily team leadership meetings.
- Creating or supporting team leaders in creating features for each Product Increment and you will be securing that our plans meet the product streams needs.

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 6-8+ years of experience in product development in the transportation industry, preferably in truck development.
- Knowledge of class 8 heavy duty trucks chassis structure, axle, suspension and vehicle dynamics.
- Basic CAD (CREO-AVP) experience.
- Knowledge of Steering and Suspension Systems is preferred.
- Previous product ownership experience is preferred.
- Project management experience is a merit, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills. Official certification is a plus.
- Agile frame-work experience and knowledge of DVP are strongly recommended
- Ability to take initiatives to optimize the systems, processes and methods/ Work with engineers and designers on site and development centers around the world.
