Job Description

AECOM is seeking a disciplined and experienced Project Controls Manager for a Federal Client in the DC Metro Area. in our Arlington, VA. The Project Controls Manager will support our Project and Program Management (PPM) Business Line. This is a future project and will depend on project win.

This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Lead the project controls function on a large and complex project
  • Manages controls, forecasting, and reporting of cost and schedule performance for projects throughout a client's portfolio
  • Lead cost and schedule positions in a formal meeting, presentation, or negotiation
  • Participate in in client and/or subcontractor negotiations
  • Tracking system to ensure that Project Management team is fully aware of detailed change order status
  • Review construction cost estimates
  • Oversee the production and maintenance of accurate project schedules
  • Develop construction schedule including the creation of work breakdown structure
  • Schedule, critical path analysis, resource loading and leveling
  • Review schedule delays and conducts independent Time Impact Analysis (TIA) including both modeled and observational approaches
  • Lead risk assessments including conducting risk interviews, developing risk registers, and calculating quantitative cost and schedule risk
  • Lead standard operating procedures, process workflows, and program execution plans development
  • Conduct root cause analysis
  •  Establish and maintain client relationships
  •  Participate in staffing decisions for projects 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements

  • CCM, PMP, PE, RA, CQM
  • 5+ years of experience in Federal
  • Must have experience with Construction means, methods, and sequences understanding
