We’re on a mission to craft a cutting-edge booking platform prioritizing choice, value, user-friendliness, and personalization for our customers booking across our platform.The Product Design Manager, Consumer Facing at Agoda is responsible for:As the Design Manager for our Consumer-Facing Products, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the vision for accommodation funnels that directly engage our customers. Through your design leadership and strategic insights, you’ll collaborate closely with product stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and inspire a team of designers, fostering an environment where innovative solutions thrive. Together, we’ll streamline the booking process on Agoda, ensuring users can easily find and book their accommodations.In this role, you’ll strike a delicate balance between user-centric design and business objectives. You’ll empower your team to advocate for the user while aligning their efforts with our overarching business goals and KPIs. Your influence will extend beyond the design realm as you champion the user and business needs, driving forward industry-leading UX solutions for our accommodation products at Agoda.Join us in creating experiences that redefine the standard for consumer engagement and satisfaction in the travel industry.Day to day, it looks like:• Manage scope of work for your team, and you determine how to divide work amongst designers• Leading design strategy for complex initiatives and growing design leaders• Driving design vs business objectives and measurement alignment on core product initiatives that design team or product team drives• You ensure successful execution by your team. You surface and address questions, bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts as they arise, working with stakeholders when needed. You ensure high quality design decisions are made• You maintain and apply a process for effective design.• You take steps to build a healthy, high performing, capability-complete team. You hire designers to fill open headcount. You foster a positive culture on your team• You coach and mentor your direct reports to make sure they hone their competencies and grow in their careers• Leading projects and groups to define and sell a coherent medium to long term vision, with milestones and short term actions to get there.
