Our team of passionate developers is growing.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead UI Implementation Designer to join our team and drive the development of innovative tools and processes for UX/UI design and UI art in Diablo. In this role, you will lead UI engineering discussions, integrate UI implementation into established workflows, champion UI design within the team, and ensure the highest quality in all aspects of UI design and execution.This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Albany, NY, or Irvine, CA.Responsibilities• Collaborate with the Head of UX/UI and start UI Implementation discipline to further improve existing UX design, UI art, UI Implementation process, and collaborative workflows.• Partner with the engine team and game engineer team to plan and strategize in-game UX/UI development tools.• Craft UI implementation roadmap to achieve Diablo game goals through supporting UX/UI development and addressing and resolving UI technical debt.• Ability to adhere to a project’s existing visual and interaction patterns.• and grow the UI Implementation team.• Work as part of Diablo UX/UI lead team, develop Diablo UX/UI maturity, and create a healthy team culture with lead peers.• Continually seek cutting-edge UX/UI implementation tools and procedures in the video game industry.• Establish and maintain strong relationships with game development stakeholders.• Maintain a positive attitude toward receiving and providing objective feedback.• Coach, mentor, and support the rest of the UX/UI team with implementation best practicesMinimum Requirements• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a UI implementer, Tech UX/UI, or similar on public products.• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lead or People Manager in the tech design field.• Experience with UX implementation in a modern engine or platform (e.g. Unity, Unreal, or HTML5).• Experience with designing multiple control schemes (e.g. Controllers, Mouse & Keyboard, and/or Touch Screen).Bonus• Passion for ARPG gameplay and nurturing a healthy game community.• Experience designing interfaces for a variety of platforms and/or control schemes.Required Applications Materials• Resume.• Portfolio showing a solid grasp of usability design principles, user flows, and prototypes you have created for UI screens, as well as samples of your visual design ability.Your PlatformBest known for iconic video game universes including Warcraft®, Overwatch®, Diablo®, and StarCraft®, Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
