The Team Lead, Talent Acquisition (TLTA) is a dual role providing operational oversight and leadership to the talent acquisition team while also supporting global full-cycle talent acquisition for the Alimentiv Holdings Companies. The TLTA interfaces with a wide variety of stakeholders including: HR, executives, people leaders, candidates, vendors, and partner organizations. Participates in the development and execution of departmental strategies to enhance service delivery, staff engagement, and operational efficiencies
Workforce Planning and Talent Management Operationso Conduct high-volume full cycle talent acquisition including job qualifying, posting, sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
o Negotiate employment offers ensuring compliance with Alimentiv’s starting salary practices and pay equity.
o Facilitate references and background check verifications; Ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications for the role.
o Maintain knowledge of legislation that affects global talent acquisition practices; Monitor regulatory adherence of HR policies and programs and contribute to new policy development.
o Apply industry-leading techniques to source/engage passive and active candidates for current and future job openings at Alimentiv; Create/maintain a pipeline of available talent for key opportunities.
o Champion a positive candidate experience for internal and external job applicants.
o Develop and maintain partnerships with employment-focused community organizations to attract diverse talent.
o Participate in various talent acquisition events including (but not limited to): professional and academic career fairs, networking, industry, and community events.
o Liaise with various talent acquisition vendors including recruitment agencies, and marketing/social media partners.
o Act as a subject-matter expert providing talent acquisition advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
o In conjunction with the MHR and hiring managers, create industry-supported, role-specific selection materials.
o Maintain detailed, accurate interview notes and status information in the Applicant Tracking System.
o Ensure accurate and up-to-date talent-tracking information; Support talent reporting.
o Monitor and report market intelligence developments that could impact talent acquisition at Alimentiv.
o Maintain awareness of new talent acquisition technology solutions.
o Support contingent resourcing as required.
o In conjunction with the MHR, contribute to employer branding strategy, create/recommend content, and ensure alignment to Alimentiv’s marketing guidelines.

Operational Planning & Oversight- Participates in the development and execution of departmental strategies to enhance service delivery, staff engagement, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide oversight of talent acquisition programming including Campus Recruitment, Subsidy Management, Employee Referrals, and Alumni Network.
- In conjunction with the MHR, maintain, track and report on organizational resource budget
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in talent acquisition processes to optimize efficiency.

Team Management and Engagement- Supervise, mentor, provide leadership and oversee the development of direct reports by setting individual development objectives and key results to support department and company strategies and objectives.
- Evaluate training needs and conduct performance reviews for assigned staff.
- Set priorities and oversee workload for assigned staff.
- Support the MHR in identifying and quantifying resource requirements. Interview, hire, onboard and train new staff as appropriate.
- Maintain positive team morale; facilitate conflict resolution as required.
Special Projects- Support other HR projects/duties as assigned.
Professional Practice- Act with integrity and balance the interest of all parties in carrying out HR activities; Model ethical practices for staff.

Qualifications - Applicants should have an undergraduate university degree & 4-6 years related experience + substantial on going job related training preferably focused in life sciences, healthcare, or professional services.
- Previous experience and strong knowledge of talent acquisition.
- Specialty in Human Resources; CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards designation.
- Knowledge of labour legislation in Canada, US and Europe.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

Working Conditions
$76,000 - $127,000 a year
