Supply Chain by Amazon (SCA) is bringing its technology and insight to FBA Sellers through an integrated suite of supply chain offerings aimed at helping lower their costs and maximizing their revenue streams.As the Finance Manager, SCA, you will partner with business leaders to provide data-driven strategic decision making. You will bring the financial stewardship necessary to drive sustainable growth while exploring new business opportunities. This position will work closely with various stakeholders across the business, Operations, Accounting, Finance, and Financial system teams to solve complex problems that directly impact Amazon’s financials.Key job responsibilities• Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe• Develop and implement forecast processes and best practices that improve accuracy and quickly identify risks and opportunities• Prioritizing Controllership, you identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve, complex data integrity issues. You improve controls to address financial risk and support frugality• Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure• You listen attentively and communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions• Collects and analyzes data to develop insightful reports that drive business performance and cost reductions• Have backbone, disagree and commit to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions• You exhibit social responsibility. Actively recruit bar-raising talent, continuously develop your team, and constructively mentor the Finance community• Identify and sponsor Finance-wide professional development and engagement initiatives that plan for the future and strengthen the global Finance community, such as inclusion and diversity initiatives• Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony. You are a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiencyBasic Qualifications• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePreferred Qualifications• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience• MBA, or CPA• Knowledge of SQL/ETL• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
