Sr. Marketing Manager, Enterprise

Hi, I’m Euphonia, Ashby’s Director of Demand Generation. I joined Ashby in January 2024 to lead the Demand Gen function. I was initially attracted to the role due to the customer buzz around the product, and my experience from working with Harriet at Brex, and then was incredibly impressed by the depth and product market fit. Since joining, both these initial observations have proven to be true, and what truly stands out is working with some of the most talented and kind teammates while having a huge opportunity to build the Demand Gen machine. Before Ashby, I spent 4.5 years at Brex as the first paid marketing hire, building and scaling growth channels from scratch, honing my skills across demand gen and brand marketing as the company grew from fewer than 100 employees to over 1,300.

We are looking for someone to lead demand generation for our enterprise segment. You will have the autonomy to rethink and define the strategy and execution, supported by a robust tech stack and an exceptional agency partner to help bring your vision to life. It’s ABM but not in its traditional form: we’re seeking a first-principles thinker who prioritizes meaningful engagement over generic tactics / outdated playbooks (for example, prioritizing a few key impactful moments of engagement over running a laundry list of generic tactics across digital channels).

At Ashby, we are fortunate to have achieved incredible product-market fit with a customer referral flywheel in motion – growing to over 1,800 customers at companies like Snowflake, Ramp, Deel, and OpenAI. With our recent Series C raise, we’re at an exciting point in time where marketing can make an outsized impact on the company’s trajectory. Come join us! More on how we work here and why our investors are excited about us here.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role

  • Develop customized ABM strategies targeting enterprise (1K-15K employees) accounts with 1:1, 1:many, and scaled programs.

  • Run multi-channel campaigns across Linkedin, events, gifting and others to engage enterprise prospects.

  • Manage agency partnerships: Oversee relationships with external agencies, ensuring effective communication and efficient campaign execution.

  • Collaborate with Sales: Align on accounts strategy, campaign execution, and performance tracking; enable the AEs to engage effectively with prospects.

  • Measure and optimize performance: Track, analyze, and report on campaign outcomes, continuously refining approaches for maximum impact.

You will probably love this role if:

  • You enjoy combining data analytics and creative thinking to craft high-impact programs that go beyond traditional B2B marketing.

  • You thrive in managing complex campaigns with many moving parts. You think holistically while keeping close attention to detail.

  • You excel at building trust with cross-functional teams. As a B2B SaaS company, our sales process involves tight collaboration across all teams. You have strong interpersonal skills and can build and maintain collaborative relationships across different departments.

This role may not be for you if:

  • You prefer to stick to playbooks: Success here requires a first-principles approach, crafting tailored programs for our audience.

  • You aren’t able to operate with autonomy and execute strategies from end to end: as one of our company's core operating principles, we prioritize ownership. We will provide clear ownership over a specific scope of work and trust you to own your work. You should be proactive and resourceful.

Interview Plan

At Ashby, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together via project working sessions. Our interview process is four rounds:

  1. 30-minute intro call with Recruiting

  2. 45-minute interview with Euphonia Xu (Hiring Manager)

  3. 30-minute interview with Harriet (VP, Marketing)

  4. A take home assignment which you’ll have 1 hour to discuss with the hiring team

  5. A virtual on-site of 1.5 hours with a panel of interviewers

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity.

  • Opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team.

  • 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.

  • Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅.

  • Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.

  • Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive!

  • $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval.

  • If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us.

Ashby’s success hinges on hiring great people and creating an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We’re being deliberate about building that environment from the ground up. I hope that excites you enough to apply.
