Partnerships Content Marketing Manager

Let’s face it, a company whose mission is human transformation better have some fresh thinking about the employer/employee relationship.

We do. We can’t cram it all in here, but you’ll start noticing it from the first interview.

Even our candidate experience is different. And when you get an offer from us (and accept it), you get way more than a paycheck. You get a personal BetterUp Coach, a development plan, a trained and coached manager, the most amazing team you’ve ever met (yes, each with their own personal BetterUp Coach), and most importantly, work that matters. This makes for a remarkably focused and fulfilling work experience. Frankly, it’s not for everyone. But for people with fire in their belly, it’s a game-changing, career-defining, soul-lifting move.

Join us and we promise you the most intense and fulfilling years of your career, doing life-changing work in a fun, inventive, soulful culture.

If that sounds exciting—and the job description below feels like a fit—we really should start talking.

We are seeking a Partnerships Content Marketing Manager to join our Brand team. At BetterUp we know transformation isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you work for. Building a category that doesn’t exist requires grit, practicing imagination, agility, and at times, rethinking our approach along the way. We’re building the next iconic performance brand and need a strategic content manager who takes bold swings and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

As the Partnerships Content Marketing Manager, you will drive our customer storytelling strategy and spearhead our latest strategic content initiative, the virtual BetterUp Original Series (our take on old-school webinars), crafting compelling content that showcases the voices of our customers, partners, and industry leaders. You’ll collaborate across teams to create stories that are insightful, impactful, and strategically aligned—woven into thought leadership content, webinars, videos, event scripts, social media, and the website to amplify their reach. You’ll work to identify, craft, and integrate customer stories in ways that resonate deeply with our audiences (primarily executive leaders at global enterprises) and create measurable business impact. We need someone who lives for storytelling—who can uncover meaningful narratives and bring them to life with purpose and precision.

What You’ll Do:

Customer Storytelling

  • Bring customer voices to life with a 365 storytelling approach, partnering closely with Brand Creative and Content, Demand Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Advocacy, Public Relations, and the Field to integrate customer stories across marketing channels and beyond.

  • Collaborate directly with Field and Sales teams to gather customer insights and context, ensuring stories address the needs of the market, active account opportunities, and brand goals.

  • Case studies are critical to communicating the impact BetterUp delivers for customers, particularly as we focus on expansion within specific segments and markets. With input from Sales, Customer Advocacy, and Customer Intelligence, define how we prioritize, produce, and promote case studies that bolster BetterUp’s broader go-to-market strategy.

  • Create and curate data-driven, science-backed customer stories that 1) fuel marketing campaigns and events, 2) educate and inspire existing and prospective customers, and 3) enable go-to-market teams to position BetterUp as the leading partner for workforce performance.

  • Identify gaps in current customer storytelling and provide creative solutions that align with both the field’s needs, marketing’s strategic goals, and key market opportunities.

  • Write event speaker scripts that amplify customer impact, aligning with our customers authentic voices, stories, and impact as well as BetterUp’s mission and goals

  • Craft compelling narratives that position customers as thought leaders, highlighting their unique insights, innovations, and transformational journeys through their experiences with BetterUp.

  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns for key customer stories, refining storytelling positioning to meet market needs and equipping field enablement with high-impact assets.

  • Draft social enablement for customer speakers, including suggested LinkedIn posts for BetterUp owned events and third-party events such as Fortune, Gartner, WSJ Future of Everything where we partner on speaking opportunities with customers

  • Analyze the performance of customer content and campaigns, proactively report on results, and identify opportunities for optimization and future campaigns.

BU Original Series (Webinar/Video Content)

  • Collaborate with Content Marketing leadership and event programming teams to shape the BetterUp Original Series editorial strategy, including themes, guests, and storylines that align with broader marketing objectives.

  • Determine recording formats (eg. live, pre-recorded) and ensure seamless execution.

  • Develop all webinar-related content, including titles, abstracts, speaker briefs, and talk tracks, collaborating with speakers/panelists, content team partners, and leadership.

  • Identify, secure, and collaborate with speakers or panelists to align content with business and audience goals for webinars and broader events.

  • Write engaging scripts tailored to the talent you manage, maintaining a high standard of storytelling quality and brand consistency.

  • Create post-event assets, such as key takeaways and summaries, to extend the reach and impact of webinar and event content.

What You’ll Need:

  • A deep passion for brand building and storytelling, with a proven track record of elevating brand narratives through customer and/or partner storytelling.

  • 6–8 years of experience in content marketing, brand partnerships, or a related field.

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse channels. Expertise, specifically in script writing, is a plus.

  • Experience managing webinars, video series, or similar formats from concept to execution.

  • A knack for building strong cross-functional relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to partner with Field and Sales teams and/or external partners, translating insights into marketing strategies that support storytelling and business growth.

  • Experience owning content and campaign development, ensuring alignment across various teams, channels, and market needs.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—you thrive on turning ideas into action.

  • A strong ability to work autonomously, proactively solve problems, prioritize competing demands, and deliver high-quality work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
