Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer)

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer Intern (Summer) to contribute building and testing mechanical components for our robot system.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and refine mechanical components for humanoid robots

  • Participate in prototyping and assembly, including hands-on work with 3D printing and machining

  • Conduct tests and experiments to validate mechanical designs, track performance metrics, and document findings

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues in prototypes or existing systems

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized lab environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly handled and stored

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

  • Experience

    • Prior involvement in academic or personal projects that include mechanical design or fabrication

    • Laboratory or workshop experience (e.g., student clubs, competitions, or coursework projects) is a plus

  • Technical Skills

    • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., OnShape, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)

    • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining)

    • Understanding of mechanical principles, stress analysis, and material properties
