Job Description

Augsburg University seeks a beginning Dakota language instructor, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30pm-8:45pm. One course per semester. Instructor will have autonomy in designing and running the course including all pedagogical materials.

Compensation & Benefits
Subject to the collective bargaining agreement with SEIU, Local 284

  • $5,500 to $6,550 per course*
  • Eligible for 1-1.5% retirement contribution match
  • Tuition discount for employees and dependents
  • Transit pass discount
  • Not eligible for healthcare benefits

Please note that due to employment law and payroll regulations, we can only employ adjunct faculty who reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin. This restriction applies even to courses taught online.

Qualifications

BA in relevant field plus significant experience teaching Dakota, preferably at the college level. MA preferred. Candidates must submit a CV, a letter of interest, and arrange for two references that address the candidate's teaching ability to be forwarded under separate cover. Candidates will be considered until position is filled. Augsburg University is an AA/EO employer.
