Integration & Test (SA) Engineer

AURIA is actively seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to support the development of the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (SATCOM) (WGS) F11 Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE).  The ideal candidate will perform System Administration and I&T tasks; including automated test development in a continuous integration environment, verification of system requirements, isolation of system-level defects, and conducting formal test events.  Occasional travel to customer and government sites is expected with this position.

This position requires System Administration tasks specifically associated with the GSCCE test and development environment including on-site installation at user sites. This position may support other Auria programs (including classified programs) as identified by Auria program management.

Primary Location: BMOSC, 440 Wooten Rd, Colorado Springs 80916

Work Model:  Onsite 5 Days a Week

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Management, VMware products, and Cisco networking devices
  • Responsible for providing contributions to system installation and maintenance procedure documentation
  • Responsible for performing software integration issue triage
  • Responsible for integrating and troubleshooting message buses, database access, Python procs (or similar)
  • Responsible for analyzing the space to ground ICD to understand how configurable digital telemetry functions and create automated testing scripts using Eggplant or similar language for System Under Test.
  • Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manual and automated software unit and system-level tests in an integrated environment.
  • Determine the verification approach for system requirements and isolate software and system-level defects.
  • Responsible for conducting and participating in formal test events at customer sites with government witnesses to validate system capabilities.
  • Responsible for installation and troubleshooting GSCCE software versions at worldwide locations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • Familiarization with automated testing tools and language including Python and Eggplant.
  • Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting engineering tasks for a complex system.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework for DoD Systems and analyzing or implementing Cyber Security controls
  • Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and document corrective actions across multiple systems and components.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time.
  • Willing to execute ad hoc trouble shooting and problem analysis to support testing and the overall test environment operation
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship).
  • Knowledge base of Wideband SATCOM command and control (C2) systems.
  • Experience with SATCOM systems, products, and interfaces.
  • Familiarity with the Wideband Global Satellite constellation, mission, and ground control systems (greatly desired, but not absolutely necessary)
  • Familiarity with Git repository maintenance, Ansible scripting, and PowerShell scripting (desired, but not absolutely necessary)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with test process development, test case design, test procedure development, test execution, system evaluation, and test reporting.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration, test planning, test development, and test execution.
  • Experience with automated test and data-driven development concepts, tools, and languages.

 

Salary Range:$92,000-$151,000

  • Engineer Level 2: Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience, Master's degree with no experience
  • Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experience
  • Engineer Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 12 or more years of experience, Master's with nine or more years of experience
