DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking our new DevOps Engineer to join the Axway team!

 

The Axway Cloud Engineering team is a group of subject matter experts within R&D that tightly collaborates with Product Development (R&D) and Cloud Operations teams with three key focus areas: Infrastructure, Developer Experience, and Observability. This involves strong technology background for Kubernetes on AWS and Azure, extensive usage of centralized source and configuration management and dedication to self-serve automation.

 

In this role you will be a part of the DevEx group of Cloud Engineering, delivering solutions to both Cloud Operations and R&D teams across the company to improve the overall developer experience. You will be exposed to a full software delivery lifecycle process, involving tools such as Gitlab, Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS and Azure services. You will also have at your disposal a huge library of Terraform templates that our team has created throughout the years, covering a myriad of business cases.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and ensure reliability of automation pipelines for our continuous deployment solution used by multiple teams,
  • Document and handover robust automated solutions to our R&D and Cloud Operations team,
  • Build and maintain CI/CD service to maximize uptime for R&D environments and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to personal and professional development staying current with industry trends, tools and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing and automation.

Qualifications

Ideally, you would have a mixture of the following:

  • Working experience administering Linux systems - on-prem and in the cloud (2+ years)
  • AWS and/or Azure knowledge and experience (2+ years)
  • Proficiency in setting up, managing and maintaining Gitlab CICD pipelines (2+ years)
  • Working with Terraform for provisioning and maintaining infrastructure (IaC) (1+ years)
  • Working knowledge of Containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (1+ years)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly in a live environment demonstrating critical thinking and adaptability (1+ years)
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is strongly desired
