Quest Integrity employs leading-edge technology and subject matter expertise to help companies improve the uptime, performance and longevity of their assets.Partner with the bestThe Data Scientist will work in teams addressing statistical, machine learning and data understanding problems in a commercial technology and consultancy development environment.As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for:• Developing, validating, and deploying advanced data analysis algorithms to interpret EMAT-based pipeline inspection data.• Processing and analyzing large datasets to identify anomalies, defects, and pipeline conditions with high accuracy.• Utilizing machine learning and signal processing techniques to enhance data interpretation and automate defect detection.• Collaborating with engineering teams to understand inspection tool data output and improve data collection methodologies.• Designing and implement robust data preprocessing pipelines to clean, normalize, and structure raw inspection data for analysis.• Conducting performance evaluations of algorithms to ensure they meet industry standards for precision, recall, and efficiency.• Generating comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Staying updated with advancements in EMAT technology, machine learning, and data science, and apply these to improve current algorithms and processes.• Contributing to the development of software tools for real-time and post-inspection data analysis.• Providing technical support for operational teams using the developed algorithms and tools.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will require:• Have a Bachelor's in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other related technical field• Have Experience in data analysis, machine learning, or signal processing, including working with inspection or sensor data• Have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.• Have experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).• Have the knowledge of signal processing techniques, including wavelet analysis and Fourier transforms.• Have familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Matplotlib, or Plotly.• Have the experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
