Service Advisors play a pivotal role in our Service Department, ensuring seamless communication and workflow between our clients and internal teams. Your dedication will directly impact our customers' satisfaction and our dealership's success. POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Drive Service Department growth and profitability while ensuring compliance with policies and warranty procedures.
  • Approve all external purchases charged to the Service Department or customer repair orders.
  • Review warranty performance, chargebacks, and debits to ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor open repair orders over 30 days for closure and payment.
  • Ensure C.O.D. repair orders have vehicles and keys on premises.
  • Attend Service Manager meetings as required and maintain high-quality repairs.
  • Ensure fair work distribution and conduct periodic spot checks on vehicle progress.
  • Stay updated on warranty policies, regulations (OSHA, EPA), and product changes.
  • Provide training for technicians and service staff, and ensure safe, clean work areas.
  • Seek new service business, communicate charges to customers, and select tools for improved efficiency.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

SKILLS, TRAINING AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES

  • Minimum of 1 year technical/supervision experience in a medium/heavy-duty truck or automotive dealership with at least 5 technicians.
  • Maintain a high degree of product and technical knowledge.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

Elements that are preferred, but not required for the Service Manager position are:

  • Experience with Microsoft programs and applications currently in use at this location.
  • Good organizational skills
  • A commercial driver’s license (CDL) to operate and road test customer vehicles when needed.
  • Knowledge of dealer and fleet maintenance procedures and systems.
  • Willingness to pursue self-development courses applicable to the job.
  • Working knowledge of international and supplier/vendor warranty policies.
  • Strive for respect and facilitate teamwork in the department and throughout the dealership.
  • The ability to utilize the full capabilities of the service portal.

  • The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $50,000 to $80,000 annually with attainable bonuses.
