 A little bit about us:

We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data, as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We’re turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We’re a highly-technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 90 people and our team currently represents 20 nationalities. We have offices in São Paulo and Mexico City – while a large portion of us work remotely.

We are tackling a very stimulating problem: connecting fintech innovators with legacy financial infrastructure. We strive to go beyond the limits of what is possible today and to do so in an elegant and developer-first way.

Since starting our adventure in May 2019, we have raised $56m from the leading VC investors globally.

About the team:

  • We work in cross-functional, autonomous teams. We follow continuous delivery best practices executed on top of a modern technology stack. 

  • Our products are built for developers, by developers. Technological excellence is at the heart of what we do.  

  • We are pragmatic and customer-focused. We strive to find the right set of trade-offs in order to validate our hypothesis as early as possible, iterating on our products based on customer feedback. 

  • We communicate transparently. We do weekly all-hands where we get together to discuss company performance and goals.

  • While we are global and remote friendly, we also operate from vibrant offices in CDMX and Sao Paulo, where we have hybrid roles, our team goes to the office at least twice a week. To accommodate the various timezones in which we are based, we ensure we’re always synced up between 3 pm and 6 pm, CEST.

  • Also, we are backed by some of the leading investors in Silicon Valley and Latin America, including Founders Fund, Kaszek Ventures, and YCombinator.

Your opportunity:

  • Own full sales cycle, inc. demos, proposals/quotes, negotiation deal closure.  

  • Establish active communication and engagement with qualified leads to create new business opportunities and close deals.

  • You will be accountable regarding your opportunity pipeline and ensure you meet or outperform your bookings quota.

  • Collaborate with our Onboarding team to ensure new customers go live in the intended timeline.

  • Establish active communication and work strategically with our Customer Success team to facilitate upsells and renewals.

  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to create the strategy for acquisition of new accounts.

  • Track all relevant selling and opportunity tracking activity in our CRM

  • Become a domain expert in Fintech and Open Banking Data and Payments  in Latin America

This position may be for you if:

  • +6 years of experience in enterprise sales or business development

  • Experience executing deals with large companies, preferably involving payments and/or credit data solutions.

  • Experience using Hubspot, Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool

  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills

  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships

  • Horsepower to understand, elaborate and explain detailed and complex ideas in a clear and supportive way

  • You are adaptable and thrive in fast-paced environments. Belvo is creating a new industry in Latam, we need you to be dynamic and ready to adapt as our market and needs do.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • You are great at multitasking and can handle numerous accounts and projects in an environment with tight deadlines and goals.

  • You are native in Portuguese and fluent in English.

  • Resourceful when it comes to achieving a mission that’s been given to you

  • Team player, ready to make passes when needed but can also make a big play if the situation calls for it, we do what it takes to win as a team 

  • Perseverance to achieve individual quotas, company goals and have a results orientation mindset

  • This is a hybrid role. Our team goes to the office twice a week.

Amazing if:

  • Past experience in Payments and/or Data for credit analysis, working in or selling to Enterprise (1000+ employees) companies.

  • You have an understanding of Open Finance regulation in Brazil

  • Knowledgeable in credit cycle related to financial services (credit risk, modelling, bureaus, etc.)
