Cloud Operations Engineer

As a Cloud Operations Engineer you'll join our Infrastructure Department and your primary focus will be designing and maintaining blockchain-based systems and working closely with dynamic team of SysOps, Developers, Architects, SecOps and other departments to continue to deliver excellence at Bitstamp.

What you'll do

  • Ensure stability and availability of the Bitstamp platform.
  • Provide and maintain application runtime environments.
  • Develop and maintain application deployment pipelines.
  • Provide and maintain logging, monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
  • Provide operational and technical support for engineering teams.
  • Provide regular application deploys and application environment changes. 
  • Join operational on-call rotation.

What you will bring

  • More than 5 years of experience maintaining highly performant, low latency web services.
  • Experience with Linux, Bash, Python and Git.
  • Experience maintaining web servers (Apache, Nginx).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CloudFormation, Ansible playbooks).
  • Experience administrating and using relational databases like MySQL and in-memory key value stores like Redis and Memcache.
  • Experience with AWS and information security best practices.
  • Active knowledge of English.

Nice to haves

  • AWS certification.
  • Operational familiarity with Atlassian products such as Jira / Bitbucket / Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins / Automaton controller.

Logistics 

  • Hybrid working/full time in Slovenia.
  • Remote working/full time in Croatia.
