Title: Senior Cloud Security Engineer Location: Charlottesville, VA / Alexandria, VA (Hybrid | 3 Days On-site a week) Clearance: TS (SCI Eligible) About This Role / Responsibilities • Rackner is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer will monitor the organization’s networks for any security breaches and investigate/mitigate any issues. • Maintain software, firewalls, and data encryption programs to ensure sensitive information is protected.• Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluate performance results, and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.Experience/Qualifications• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree• 7+ years’; experience working in Info Security• 6 years; providing cyber security support for IT systems• Cloud technologies such as AWS / Azure, IaC, and Kubernetes (in production) experience• IAT Level III or IAM Level III• Federal govt. experience supporting Army or DoD• Developed security standards and best practices and work as a technical expert across many projects• Ability to supervise others if/as needed and provide mentorship to junior engineers• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows system administrationProgram Overview• Rackner is working with the Army Military Intelligence (MI) program to support the overall strategy and migration to evaluate and potentially re-invent how Army MI delivers IT services and the use of Intelligence data and analytics to meet mission requirements.Who We Are• Rackner is a software consultancy that builds cloud-native solutions for startups, enterprises, and the public sector.• We are an energetic, growing consultancy with a passion for solving big problems for both startups and enterprises.• We enable digital transformation for large organizations through the newest in distributed technologies as we are laser focused on end-to-end application development, DevSecOps, AI/ML and systems architecture and our methodology focuses on cloud-first and cost-effective innovation.• Our customers hail from a diverse, ever growing list of industries.Benefits/Additional InfoRackner embraces and promotes employee development and training and covers the cost of certifications relevant to a position and the technologies/services provided.
