Internal Communications Lead

Bonfire is looking for an Internal Communications lead to build and execute a studio-wide communication strategy that keeps our teams aligned, inspired, and engaged. This person will develop effective and creative ways to share information and identify the best tools for communication.


You’ll determine how information flows across the studio, ensuring the right messages are reaching the right people at the right time. From guest speaker events and brown bag sessions to sharing important company updates, this role will keep the entire organization feeling connected and informed. As a member of the people team, you’ll also have the opportunity to come up with creative solutions to enhance our culture through various engagement initiatives.


What You'll Do
  • Build and own execution of the Internal Communication strategy that aligns with our culture and values
  • Partner with studio and development leaders to ensure critical updates and company-wide priorities are effectively and regularly communicated
  • Research and roll out communication platforms, and accompanying communication rituals, to streamline internal updates. Ensure our communication stack remains scalable and intuitive as we grow
  • Optimize the way we share information across teams—balancing transparency, accessibility, and engagement
  • Move beyond traditional Slack updates—bring studio updates to life with creative formats which might include the following: Guest speaker series with industry leaders, Knowledge sharing across teams, Interactive town halls with live Q&A and behind-the-scenes insights and Creative video content for key messages and milestones
  • Keep the pulse on the organization, working closely with teams to identify the most important topics to communicate
  • Create repeatable, engaging ways to reinforce studio goals, team wins, and key initiatives
  • Establish a feedback loop so employees feel heard and involved in shaping studio communications


What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years in internal communications, employee engagement or related fields (preferably in gaming)
  • Experience in gaming, preferred. Experience at an employee/culture-first company focused on building a well-informed and engaged workforce required. 
  • A creative communicator who can make updates exciting, engaging, and easy to digest through their storytelling skills
  • Someone who can build the strategy but also execute—from writing a Slack post to running a full-scale internal campaign
  • A natural connector who enjoys partnering with different teams and leadership
  • Proven success building strong relationships that allow you to have significant impact
  • Someone who thinks outside the box to create fresh and interactive ways to share information


The salary range for this position is $153,000 - $195,00 annually. Salary will be based on a variety of factors including potential impact holistically as well as their skill and expertise level. There is also more to our total comp package than salary, we offer equity to every new hire as well as a comprehensive benefits package and more.
