Marketing Manager

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with the option to work from home one day per week after completing the probation period.

Location: Islington Square, 129C Upper St, London N1 1QP

We are the UK’s leading premium retailer with five London stores, a thriving eCommerce platform, and a cookery school, we provide exceptional kitchenware, tableware, and inspiration.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to drive our omnichannel marketing strategy, leading innovative campaigns across digital, in our retail stores, and PR channels. This role is both strategic and operational. It involves high-level thinking while being immersed in the data, operational details, and day to day execution. The role is a core part of our team, working with our marketing team to create industry-leading and highly innovative campaigns that translate our brand’s message, which inspire our customers and help them decide what is right for them. It involves team management, with 2 reports and works closely with the eCommerce team. They are a core part of communication through our stores' merchandising and demonstrations and lead everything that flows through our website and social. You’ll be a core part of shaping our brand voice, grow our audience, and create engaging content that inspires customers to cook, entertain, and invest in quality.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, define and lead the overall marketing strategy and execute day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and making necessary tweaks to achieve set growth objectives. Get senior buy-in to the strategy and plan.
    • Ensure the timely launch of integrated marketing campaigns across Retail Stores and Online channels, including store merchandising, email & social, affiliates, and CRM.
    • Use both customer and marketing data to define the marketing plan. Pull reports and analyse data in order to come up with insights needed.
    • Oversee in-season product and brand campaigns, working collaboratively with buying and inventory teams to ensure stock readiness.
  • Provide coordination assistance in the leadup to photoshoots, creating product spreadsheets to track inventory, working closely with the warehouse team, operations team and Visual Content Manager.
      • Manage the marketing calendar and Inventory tracker, ensuring timely delivery of campaigns, stock for promotions, and key brand moments.
  • Grow, maintain and nurture external brand partnerships and collaborations.

Stores 

  • Develop and strengthen the retail marketing strategy. Execute a world-class plan for our 5 retail store locations.
  • Oversee the in-store materials, including signage, in-store cards and merchandising materials. Supply stores with documentation on respective activities.
  • Coordinate weekly store training and demonstrations
  • Conduct regular visits to the stores for in-store marketing check-ins
  • Develop and execute local area marketing initiatives to support Retail Stores performance and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate and implement window and merchandising displays every two months in alignment with the campaigns.

Email & Online

  • Support the eCommerce team in creating and reviewing email marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with broader marketing activity.
  • Support the eCommerce team with content creation for our website, including new forms of content, landing pages and purchase journey optimisations

Social Media 

  • Work closely with the Visual Content Manager to develop a social media strategy aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Develop and manage Influencer and Affiliate collaborations to expand reach and drive meaningful customer engagement and sales.
  • Track, analyse, and share insights on social media performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Affiliates, PR and Media 

  • Take ownership of the Borough Kitchen Affiliate program and scale current activities into a revenue driving channel.
  • Implement a PR strategy/programme, build relationships, and proactively seek press coverage.

Loyalty

  • Lead the creation and development of the Borough Kitchen Loyalty program. Acquire new customers and retain existing ones, while ensuring the program is hitting efficient metrics across our marketing channels.

Cook School

  • Drive awareness and engagement for the Cook School, focusing on increasing class bookings through targeted marketing approaches. 

  • A minimum of 5+ years experience in retail marketing with a strong track record of driving customer engagement and strengthening brand presence through all retail and digital marketing channels — essential. 
  • Confidence in leading a team, managing day-to-day activities and ensuring delivery of impactful results. 
  • Ability to get stuck into the details and execute varying tasks (no task too small)
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, growing environments, adapting quickly to new challenges and shifting priorities.
  • Creative and strategic thinker, developing high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring a seamless execution of campaigns and projects.
