** Position to be filled in either Plymouth, MI or Plano, TX based on candidate's current location. Position offers hybrid work flexibility two days per week.**

Job Description

The Technical Support Coordinator provides technical support to Toyota and Bosch USA’s inspections.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Data collection of Field Technical Reports (FTR), GTS+ and Event Data Retrieval (EDR) a from Field Inspectors. 
  • Toyota’s main point of contact and support
  • Perform quality reviews of the FTRs, assist inspectors with writing FTR's
  • Load FTR's into Toyota’s database
  • Assist Field Inspectors with difficult cases in capturing Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) downloads and/or Techstream
  • Onboard new inspectors, assist with establishing GTS+ subscription, tool/equipment, training,
  • Support for field inspectors regarding unusual/severe field conditions, unusual/conflicting customer allegations

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Automotive dealership, collision repair, salvage yard environment
  • Automotive OEM field engineering quality improvement processes
  • Automotive customer complaint handling
  • Minimum 3 years Technical writing with product liability/arbitration awareness

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Toyota TQCN database
  • Technical Certification or related Associates Degree

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

  • Basic laptop Word, excel, software program downloading, 
  • Automotive hands on diagnostic skills, critical problem solving,
  • Decisiveness, ability to work autonomously
  • Timely responsiveness to support field personnel
