Enterprise Architect - BCDR and Cyber Resilience

At Brazoderecho, we are seeking a skilled Enterprise Architect - BCDR and Cyber Resilience.

Location: 100% Remote (Open to Residents of Argentina)


This position will support our efforts to enhance information security and protect intellectual assets across our global and local networks. With a focus on developing and implementing robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) frameworks and cyber resilience strategies, this position will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity and security of our cloud and on-premise environments.

By collaborating with stakeholders and leveraging the latest industry best practices, the successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding our operations and aligning security initiatives with long-term business objectives.


Objectives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive BCDR frameworks for cloud (Azure focus) and on-premise environments.
  • Create and enforce cyber resilience strategies to ensure business continuity and rapid recovery from cyber incidents.
  • Align BCDR and cyber resilience strategies with long-term business requirements and security architecture frameworks.
  • Conduct resilience assessments and develop mitigation strategies for critical applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of BCDR and cyber resilience initiatives with business objectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BCDR and cyber resilience


Key Responsibilities
  • BCDR Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Develop Comprehensive BCDR Frameworks: Design and implement BCDR strategies for both cloud and on-premise environments to ensure business continuity and rapid recovery from disruptions.
  • Create Ransomware Recovery Strategies: Develop and implement ransomware recovery strategies to protect and recover critical data and systems.
  • Cyber Resilience Strategy
  • Cyber Resilience Frameworks: Create and enforce comprehensive cyber resilience frameworks focusing on both preventive and reactive measures.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to enhance cyber resilience.
  • Alignment with Security Architecture
  • Map Business Requirements: Ensure BCDR and cyber resilience strategies are aligned with long-term business requirements and security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman, etc.
  • Develop Reference Architectures: Create and maintain cloud-agnostic disaster recovery reference architectures
  • Resilience Assessments and Mitigation
  • Conduct Resilience Assessments: Perform annual resilience assessments for Tier 0 and Tier 1 applications, identifying responsible teams and required personas for assessment.
  • Identify and Address Gaps: Review architecture documents, identify gaps, and schedule assessment sessions to evaluate applications' resilience posture.
  • Update and Follow-Up: Document resilience assessment results in ITSM, follow up with relevant teams to close identified gaps.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure BCDR and cyber resilience strategies align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Business Application Owners: Assist business application owners in onboarding their applications into BCDR and cyber resilience solutions, from initial engagement to successful operationalization.
  • Continuous Improvement and Learning
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in BCDR and cyber resilience.
  • Improve Processes: Continuously improve and automate BCDR and resilience assessment processes, working with relevant consultants to develop streamlined approaches.
  • Platform Support and Testing
  •  Assist BCDR Ops  in conducting regular TTX and DR tests for various application portfolios.
  • Create and execute disaster recovery scenarios to test and improve resilience strategies.
  • Help in tiering assessments to assign the right tier for all applications as part of ITSM.


Minimum Years of Experience
  • 5 year(s) in progressive professional roles involving information security and/or IT management.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AZURE Certified Security, or equivalent.


Preferred Technical Skills
  • Expertise in developing and implementing BCDR strategies for both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber resilience frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with security architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman, etc.
  • Proven experience in conducting resilience assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • At least 2 years hands on experience with Azure Cloud (Networking, Security and IAM)
