Analytics Lead

Your Role

Collaborating closely with the founders and senior management, you are responsible for establishing an Analytics function at bunch. You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team, revolutionising reporting, streamlining data processes and championing a data-driven culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Set and drive the analytics roadmap: Align analytics priorities across departments, balancing strategic initiatives with short-term needs. Own execution while building the foundation for a scalable analytics function.

  • Build and maintain a modern data platform: Continue to build a reliable, scalable data stack on the foundation of an existing dbt, SQL, Fivetran, BigQuery and GSheets to ensure high-quality, accessible data for the business.

  • Ensure data quality and governance: Own the integrity of our core data models, optimize data collection processes, and collaborate with system of record owners to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Deliver insights and empower teams: Provide high-impact analysis when needed, while enabling self-service through well-structured data models, documentation, and tools.

  • Lead and grow a high-performing team: Attract, retain, and develop diverse analytics talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and innovation.

Your Profile

To excel as Analytics Lead, you should combine proficiency across the modern data stack, strategic thinking and hands-on leadership.

  • You have 3-5 years of professional experience in the Data team of a fast-growing startup or similar high-growth environment where you demonstrated exceptional performance and have gained people management experience.

  • You are proficient in SQL and dbt to fully leverage the existing data stack (dbt + git, DWH, ELT, Google Sheets) to scale analytics in bunch’s high-growth environment.

  • You have a track record of effectively collaborating with senior management and pride yourself in employing a well-structured, self-directing and proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • You are fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to effectively manage multiple projects.

The Hiring Process

  • Get-to-know Call (30min): We tell you more about the opportunity, current challenges and bunch’s unique company culture and any admin questions you may have. We also want to learn more about you, your past experiences and what you are looking for.

  • Skills Interview (45-60min): This is your chance to dazzle us with your technical expertise and project management capabilities. You can expect both, technical questions across the data stack, as well as soft skill questions around leadership and project management.

  • Case Study: We will share a case with you to complete on your own timeline (time invest ~3 hours). The case is purely conceptual and allows you to showcase your approach to problem-solving, strategic thinking abilities and communication skills.

  • Final Interview Day (on-site if possible)

    • Founder Interview (45min): You will meet our founders to discuss your case study and previous experience, and learn more about bunch’s vision.

    • Senior Management (each 30min): You will meet several of your future stakeholders to make sure it is a great fit for both sides.
